In Psychonauts, you play as Razputin “Raz” Aquato, a runaway circus acrobat with psychic powers who infiltrates a secret government training camp for young psychics. The game’s brilliance lies in its concept: each level is the inside of someone’s mind, filled with metaphorical landscapes representing their fears, traumas, or quirks. A paranoid conspiracy theorist’s mind becomes a twisted neighborhood of surveillance; a depressed woman’s mind is a stage for endless theatrical self-doubt. It’s wild, heartfelt, and often hilarious.
